Owlbear Cub Flock: Session 23 Wild Beyond the Witchlight
Dungeons & Dragons 5e
Casual
2026-09-13
13:00:00

Once every eight years, the fantastic Witchlight Carnival touches down on your world, bringing joy to one settlement after the next. It's owners, Mister Witch and Mister Light, know how to put on a good show. But there there's more to this magical extravaganza than meets the eye! The Carnival is a gateway to fantastical Feywild domain unlike anything found on the Material Plane. Time has not been kind to this realm, however, and dark days lie ahead unless someone can thwart the dastardly schemes of the Hourglass Coven!

What to Expect:

Youth are expected to create and update their own characters before the session begins. Please use the following link on D&D Beyond and follow the instructions Here: YOUTH LEAGUE CHARACTER CREATION

Youth must be age 8-12 to be part of the Owlbear Cub Flock.

Players are level 6!

Players MUST use Standard Array or Point Buy.

Players may use character options that appear in the following sources:

  • Player’s Handbook 2024

  • The Wild Beyond the Witchlight

* Tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

Red Claw Gaming Presents: Monday Night League Planeswalker Adventures!

Player Package

Price has increased due to the increase in product cost. Welcome to the fifth instalment of the Planeswalker Adventure League! This ticket price gets you 4 packs of magic from the approved list, and a deck box.

This is a 2 month organized play league. There is no pack prizing per week, but we’ll have some cool crafted prizes of special promos to give out that might surprise you at the end! This league is intended to feel like kitchen table, slinging spells for the first time, growing your resources as time wears on.

(These are some examples of some of the silly titles we could give)

                  Top Dawg
                  Sportsmanship
                  Janky Jokester
                  Underdog
                  Treasure out of Trash
                  Noob with Attitude

No prizing keeps the event casual, fun, and you still get to crack a pack every week to try to make your deck stronger! Late buy-ins are allowed, but you'll be playing pack catch-up in $$$
Week 1: Initial Ticket Cost

Players purchase their initial buy in.

30$ Ticket Cost

What they receive: 4 packs, plus 1 plastic deck box to write their name on.
Packs not allowed: Remastered Sets, Masters Sets, Modern Horizons, Jumpstart, etc.

Must be a set that has been standard legal, and available from our store stock at the time of purchase. You may purchase a set booster, but you’ll be down 3 cards of potential add to your pool.

This deck box must be kept at the store. If you choose to bring any of your pulls home, those cannot be re-added to your card pool later. Consider them, “Retired”.

Suggested items the player brings: Sleeves, life trackers, dice and tokens.

There will be a deckbuilding round giving players 40 minutes to open their packs and build a 40-card minimum deck. Their sideboard can be any of the cards they open.

We will play 3 rounds of Swiss Pairing. This ensures that during the same week, players aren’t placed against the same player multiple times.

Promos will be provided at random every week at the end of the event. The promo of the week can be added to your deck.

League Rules and Expectations:

Respect the Ban + Restricted List
                  Don’t take your decks home
Don’t bring any cards from home to add to your pool
You may add the promo cards given out at the end of the night
You may use your own full-art lands/basic lands
No trading until the end of the league

Please keep a friendly, inclusive atmosphere at all times.
If you miss a week or join late, you’ll be allowed to purchase additional boosters.

Week 2-4: Month 1

Every additional week players get to add 1 pack to their pool.  Pack price to add to your deck, which is the event cost for that week.

Packs not allowed: Remastered Sets, Masters Sets, Modern Horizons, Jumpstart, etc.

40 Card Minimum Deck (Maximum 60)
Players will be given 20-30 minutes to refine their decks before the event kicks off. Late Entry is allowed, so during this time players will have a chance to build a deck and get started.

Promos will be distributed at the end of Swiss Pairing, Best of Three, Three Rounds.
Points accumulated over the season will be calculated into tiered promotional prizing structures. While there is no pack prizing per month, there will be additional promos given out at the end of the league.

Every week players get to add 1 pack to their pool. 5.85 Minimum to add to your deck, which is the event cost for that week.

Packs not allowed:
Remastered Sets, Masters Sets, Modern Horizons, Jumpstart, etc.

60 Card Minimum Deck (Maximum 60)
Players will be given 20-30 minutes to refine their decks before the event kicks off. Late Entry is allowed, so during this time players will have a chance to build a deck and get started.

The Final Week: Wrap Up

There will be a bunch of promos that range in value and quantity that will be given out for meeting certain conditions during the league. This will be a very generous event! We look forward to having you there.
