Daggerheart Colossus of the Drylands Game 25
Daggerheart

The Drylands were a place that put the old stories aside... until a colossus rose from the earth itself, answering the call of something ancient and apocalyptic and devastating the town of Wyllin’s Gulch. At the cost of many lives, the colossus was slain... but years later, when a shaky peace had finally settled over the Drylands, the earth quakes once more. Old prospectors whisper older legends, of superstition and of the return of Kudamat, the First Doom. When the first colossi rose, you were too young, or perhaps too injured or ill to contribute to the conflict; now, you are ready to join your comrades on their next hunt.

As the New Gods watch from the Hallows Above, will you stand for the helpless? Or will you watch as the world you know crumbles beneath the rise of the colossi?

This Daggerheart game is custom within the frame. If you join the campaign late, please reach out to GM Kit so they can get you situated within the world and offer opportunities to construct your own piece of the world.

Tone & Feel: Awe-Inspiring, Dusty, Eerie, Gritty, Larger than Life.

Themes: Breaking Cycles, the Burden of Heroism, Faith VS Doubt, Greed, Ordinary People Accomplishing the Extraordinary.

PLAYERS MUST:

Create a Level 6 Daggerheart character. Players who have difficulty with character creation can reach out to the DM to schedule a one-on-one session before the campaign starts.

Leave open the Background Questions and Connections; these will be filled out during our first session.

PLAYERS MAY:

Review the Colossus of the Drylands frame in the back of the Core Book. Note that this is a western setting, and guns and mounts are recommended. The stats for these are in the campaign frame. This information will be discussed during the first game.

PLAYERS CANNOT:

Use homebrew or Void content without prior consent from the GM.

Meet the GM: Hey! Kit here. While I’ve been running D&D out of Red Claw for the past few years, I’ve been itching to bring alternative games to the table. I started my journey into TTRPGs with Deadlands, and I’m very excited to continue playing in the Daggerheart system. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming table for players of all experience levels to play together. I can be contacted at kitiararhem@gmail.com

Daggerheart One-Shot: Motherboard - Save the Scrap Jack
Daggerheart
Casual
2026-08-15
13:00:00

Among the ancient ruins of the fallen world, the great walled cities of the Echo Vale sit as bastions of hope in an otherwise hostile land. Utilizing technology powered by a mysterious language that runs through the Network, metal threads tethered high above the valley, these citadels insulate their citizens from the Wastes, where autonomous machines roam wild and massive wandering cities scour the land for scrap. These machines of the fallen world are known as remnants. Some remnants are tame, living and working alongside mortalkind; others roam the earth, wild.

Recently, a disaster occurred known as the Remnant’s Fury—a virus spread through the Network that caused the remnants to attack in the dead of night. These machines, which once worked peacefully in homes and businesses, assailed hundreds of unsuspecting people in both walled and wandering cities. Autonomous machines have always posed unique dangers—working remnants short out, wild remnants kill for energy—but this was different. This was a massacre.

This game will take place during the immediate aftermath of the Remnant’s Fury. An old contact of yours, Mac the Scrap Jack, has sent out an SOS ping to his allies scattered across Motherboard. His illegal scrap operation is under attack by violent remnants—but perhaps more important is the bounty Priv Maelor Rhodek, the leader of the walking city Argent, has put on remnant cores. Will you save your old friend? Will you use this chance to secure a stronger position within the valley? Or will you uncover the first real piece of evidence for the Remnant’s Fury?

Tone & Feel: Adventurous, Epic, Innovative, Mysterious, Post-Post-Apocalyptic, Technological

Themes: Artificial Intelligence, Identity & Personhood, Innovation, Technology vs. Humanity

Touchstones: Horizon Zero Dawn, Mortal Engines, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Final Fantasy Series, Fullmetal Alchemist, Slugblaster

PLAYERS MUST:

Create one level 3 Daggerheart Character.

DO NOT TAKE WEAPONS; Motherboard characters use an Ikonis; players will design their Ikonis during the game (With 3 Augment Slots); Ikonis rules are on Page 301.

DO TAKE ARMOR; players may take Tier 2 Armor of their choice; flavor it to match your character.

ADD: One Network Tether to your inventory; these allow travelers to charge their technology and access the Network.

DO NOT: Use Playtest or Void options.

PLAYERS SHOULD:

Review the Motherboard Campaign Frame in the Daggerheart Core book, particularly the Player Principles and Communities/Ancestries sections.
