Sigil is the crossroads of the multiverse, a city at the center of the Great Wheel. Connected to every plane of existence and the infinite worlds among them, the City of Doors brims with commerce, travel, schemes, and adventure. Sigil is commonly referred to as the Cage because the only way into or out of the city is through one of its countless portals—pathways controlled by the enigmatic Lady of Pain.
The greatest entity in Sigil is the Lady of Pain, an eternal being who watches over the Cage. She appears almost human, although she most definitely isn’t. She wears ornate robes that shroud her body, and a mantle of blades coated in blue-green verdigris surrounds her mask like face. No one is certain who or what exactly the Lady of Pain is, but it’s widely accepted she’s a being on par with deities. Strong enough to bar gods and their ilk from entering her city, the Lady of Pain forbids followers of her own. To worship her is more than taboo; it is an unforgivable crime punishable by imprisonment in the Mazes.
And due to a cruel twist of fate, you have found yourself in the Infinite mazes in between sigil and all of reality, and in this cruel prison you are very much not alone as thousands upon thousands of folk from Sigil have been erroneously poured into this trap.
Can you escape where none have before and discover why the infinite Maze has been hijacked?
CHARACTER CREATION
Players will create a level 16 character

Players can select one very Rare, one rare magic item and 2 uncommon magical items from the 2024 DMG or any of the above listed books and whatever other mundane starting equipment and spellcasting reagents you need, with a limit of one diamond per player.
Unearthed Arcana and homebrew will not be used.

The World Tree, Yggdrasil, is a cosmic ash tree that spans the Outer Planes and links them to many worlds of the Material Plane. Its roots stretch into the Lower Planes, touching Hades, Pandemonium, and possibly other Lower Planes. Most of its massive trunk rises through the plane of Ysgard, and its branches stretch through the Upper Planes and across the Astral to the Material Plane.
Some legends describe a great tree, a seedling of Yggdrasil, that the god Corellon planted and tended on the First World at the dawn of time. When the First World was destroyed, seeds from this tree scattered into the void and took root to form the worlds of the Material Plane. Thus, many philosophers and naturalists view all trees or even all plants as descendants of Yggdrasil, part of a vast network of plant life across the multiverse.
And you now stand at the roots of the world tree as a terrifying force of Giants has hijacked Yggdrasil to tear the universe asunder, one root at a time.
