Then the players will roll a roll off between the remaining two scenarios which will determine the scenario that will be played.
Tournament Scoring: Will be determined by Tournament Points which will be given as follows:
- Major Win (Win by at least 6 VPs twice as many VPs as your opponent) = 6 TPs
- Minor Win (Win by less than 6 VPs) = 5 TPs
- Draw (Equal VPs) = 2 TPs
- Minor Win (Lose by less then 6 VPs) = 1 VP
- Major Loss (lose by at least 6 VPs and half as many VPs as your opponent) = 0 TPs
Tie breakers will be total VPs scored, followed by fewest VPs allowed.
Rules Disputes: If you cannot decide on a ruling consult the TO, Jordan. The TO has final say on a ruling. The TO may consult other players prior to making a ruling.
Sportsmanship: We’re pushing around small plastic soldiers, respect your opponent, make your intentions clear, have fun.

Description:
This is a casual MESBG event for both new and veteran players to build an army and learn the game of MESBG.
Tickets will get you 5 games as you slowly build and paint up an army from a 400-point up to a 750-point list over a 5-month period (January to May).
SCHEDULE:
The points level brackets are as follows.
400-point lists – January 7th to February 2nd – (Jan 13th community day) – POOL 4 (Object Scenarios)
475-point lists – February 3rd to March 2nd – (Feb 10th community day) – POOL 2 (Kill Scenarios)
550-point lists – March 3rd to April 6th – (Mar 10th community day) – POOL 1 (Hold Object Scenarios)
650- point lists – April 7th to May 4th – (Apr 14th community day) – POOL 5 (Maneuvering Scenarios)
750-points lists – May 5th to May 31st – (May 12th community day) – POOL 6 (Unique Scenarios)
The only requirement is that your game at any given points level gets played at any time within these dates. There will be one “community day” a month for the league members to meet up and for players to get in games with whomever they want (or their monthly matchup). If you do not or cannot play your monthly matchup on the “community day” for a variety of reasons it will be on you to schedule a game on your own time with your opponent.
Scenario Selection:
Scenario pools are listed above in the Schedule. The scenario played from a given pool will be determined via veto. Both players roll a D6. The player with the lower dice result will veto one of the four scenarios in the given scenario pool. Next the other player will veto one scenario of their choice from the remaining three scenarios. Then the players will roll a roll off between the remaining two scenarios which will determine the scenario that will be played.
List Building Rules:
- All lists must follow the current rules using the Middle Earth SBG Rulebook (released December 2024 with the “Fellowship of the Ring” on the Cover). Any publication produced by GW after December 2024 containing profiles for Middle Earth SBG are allowed in the tournament and will be accepted at the event. This includes the Armies of The Hobbit (rel. Dec 2024), Armies of The Lord of the Rings (rel. Dec 2024) and Armies of Middle Earth (rel. June 2025) Army books and profiles. Profiles and Army lists within the Legacies of Middle-earth PDF (both Good and Evil) on GW’s website will also be permitted for the event (Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game - Warhammer Community – found under “additional rules” tab).
- List building follows the rules for list building for army lists in the Middle Earth SBG Rulebook and accompanying army books. You will need to bring 400, 475, 550, 650 and 750 points of models respectively for each month. These lists DO NOT need to be the same army list but at least 50% of the models from the previous list in the succeeding list (wargear on models does not need to be retained between lists but the models themselves do).
Ex 1: A player may bring “Assault on Helms Deep” for Rounds 1 and 2 but “Muster of Isengard” for Round 3 (so long as each list contains at least 50% OF THE SAME MODELS from the previous list).
Ex 2: A player may bring “Road to Helms Deep” for Round 1, “Ride Out” for Round 2, and “Defenders of Helm's Deep” for Round 3 (so long as each list contains at least 50% OF THE SAME MODELS from the previous list).

If you have any questions regarding proxies and 3D prints, please reach out to Jordan at edmontonmesbgslowgrow@gmail.com prior to the event as any model that does not fit the aforementioned criteria will not be usable for the event.
