Paint along with your host Dan as we paint our Wolf Cubs! This is a casual paint night meant for painters of all levels or for a fun geeky date night out with your partner and friends. There is no skill level required, your host, Dan, will be painting along with the class to help you get the best out of your mini!

Each ticket comes with a Displacer Beast Kitten miniature (provided by Darkwood Prints) an exclusive Date Night extra miniature and a paint brush set to take home, plus we will have refreshments available on the night for you to enjoy.

We supply the paints, instructions and deal with the cleanup!

​-A ticket must be purchased through Red Claw to enter the contest.

-5 of the categories will be judged and 1 category will be voted on by the public.  Contest ends October 20th at 9 pm and the theme is “Spooky"(the theme is optional) 

-Models will be displayed in store for 11 days after the October 20th deadline for judging. Winners will be announced on October 31st

-Comments and feedback will be available for the participants on their entry if requested. 

-Both the Red’s Choice and Young Gun will be judged and scored using the Red's Choice painting rubric (printable version found here). 

-The Most Thematic will be chosen by our judges and the Red Claw staff, based on the model they feel best captures the theme "Spooky".

​-Fan Favourite will be voted on by customers in store, with the model receiving the most votes winning that category. 

Rules

-Any model can be used from any game system or model line. 3D printed models are also allowed.

-Models cannot be on a base larger than 180x180mm base. Any smaller base sizes are acceptable.

-Models must be finished and delivered to Red Claw Gaming before the deadline of October 20th at 9 pm to qualify for prizing. 

-If Red Claw does not feel like we can safely display your model without endangering the other models in the display case then your entry will be disqualified from the contest.

-Remember that Red Claw is a family friendly store. This means no offensive imagery, language or behaviour. Offending models will not be displayed and forfeit their chance at the prize

Red's Masterclass is a series of advanced painting classes aimed at miniature painters who are looking to take their models to the next level.

This first class will focus on creating interesting and and complimentary bases for our models, diorama's and armies.

Basing is an underappreciated and sometimes mocked part of the miniature painting hobby. When done well basing can, not only elevate your mini to the next level through atmosphere and storytelling, but can be as fun and enjoyable part of the process as painting the mini itself. But how do we take basing from a simple texture paint into something more elaborate without it becoming a 'tactical rock' meme base?

This class will have our students creating and painting bases from start to finish. Guided through everything from concept all the way to the display case, with hands on lessons that will help grow your hobby skills, whether you're a gamer or a competition painter.

Daniel J. Schneider has been an art instructor for 16 years, teaching various art classes. He is also the resident Red Claw paint expert, hosting Hobby Hangout every Tuesday, our Date Night Paint Nights, and the Red's Choice painting contests. 

Everything will be supplied to the students, and the class will be hosted after hours in Red Claw to give you a private and focused classroom experience with your instructor Dan
