Encounter Synopsis
After a long climb up winding mountain trails, you step into the gaping mouth of a large cavern, lit dimly by pools of bubbling lava. Stalagmites rise sharply from the ground, casting eerie shadows in the flickering crimson glow. Elevated stone platforms, connected by rickety bridges and ramps, crisscross overhead suggesting far more activity here than the silence reveals. Suddenly the silence breaks with small voices chattering from the darkness, clawed feet pattering off the cavern walls.
