Very few heroes exist in the jungles of Chult, but there is one that is known throughout the island country: Artis Cimber. His fate, and the fate of his loyal companion, Dragon Bait, rest in the hands of our adventurers in this one-shot event.
Aid Artis in his quest to reconnect with his long-lost love as you all navigate a treacherous wilderness to find a mysterious faction rumoured to speak with worlds beyond our own. Five years into an armistice that ended a decade of warfare, the threat of renewed conflict looms over the continent of Althas. Five nations in a delicate web of alliances and rivalries seek to exploit the opportunities granted by this period of rapid magical, political, and social change. All five nations deploy agents to strengthen alliances, sabotage foes, and tip the balance of power in their favor. In a Five Banners Burning campaign, you’ll play heroes caught up in the twisting and ever-escalating conflict between nations, contending with competing loyalties, generational grudges, and opportunistic villains.
-
After fifteen years of war, a shaky peace has settled across Althas. The newly independent nation of Jesthaen scrambles to secure alliances with the magocracy Polaris and the pirate-born collective Armada; meanwhile, Voldaen plots to regain its lost territory, working with the theocratic Hilltop to seize control of the continent once more. You are one of many caught in the middle of this knot of alliances, vows, marriage and blood; what you choose may very well shape Althas for centuries to come.
You and your party will be citizens of the newly formed country of Jesthaen. King Andric Lukan has secured the first step of many in solidifying a long-lasting alliance with Polaris by promising the hand of his youngest daughter, Princess Aemma, to a powerful Magister within the Polaris court. However, political marriages are delicate, careful operations; your first point of order is to ensure the safe delivery of King Andric’s offer and to return with confirmation of this engagement.
What trials might you face on the long road north? Who might stand in your way as you work towards peace? And, perhaps the most important question, does power always corrupt?
-
This Campaign will be Red Claw’s first foray into Daggerheart. In light of the narrative function of the game and the benefit of player interaction, the first game will be your chance to help shape the face of Althas. Come with a general idea for a character and prepare to work with your fellow players to lay the groundwork for what will be a campaign rooted in political intrigue, tough decisions, and enough roleplay to sink your teeth into.
Character Creation
Players will make a level 1 Daggerheart character. No homebrew or playtested content is allowed at this table.
Having the Daggerheart Core Rulebook is helpful, but not necessary. DM Kit is prepared to provide their own book for reference. Cards and character sheets are available to fill and print online. If players are inexperienced with character creation, DM Kit is happy to sit down with them and provide a quick explanation ahead of the first game.

Meet the DM: Hey! Kit here. While I’ve been running D&D out of Red Claw for the past few years, I’ve been itching to bring alternative games to the table. I started my journey into TTRPGs with Deadlands, and I’m very excited to host our first (of many, I hope!) Daggerheart Campaign here. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming table for players of all experience levels to play together.
