D&D One-Shot: The Witchlights in the Jack-O'Lanterns
Dungeons & Dragons 5e
Casual
2026-10-25
13:00:00

The leaves are turning, the nights are growing longer, and the streets are filled with the flickering glow of carved jack o'lanterns. It is Liar’s Night in the Sword Coast, a holiday devoted to disguises, deception, mischief, tall tales, and all manner of strange happenings. It is a night when you cannot always trust what you see, what you hear, or even who you think you know.

This year, however, something unusual has found its way into the lanterns.

As darkness settles over the farms of Greenest, strange lights begin to dance behind the carved faces of the pumpkins. Candles burn with unnatural colors. Shadows move when no one is there to cast them. Whispers can be heard coming from within the hollowed out gourds, and some of the jack o'lanterns seem to be watching those who pass by.

At first, everyone assumes it is simply another Liar’s Night trick.

Then the pumpkins begin to whisper names.

Now a group of unfortunate, curious, or perhaps simply foolish adventurers must uncover the truth behind the mysterious witchlights before the night comes to an end.

Daggerheart Colossus of the Drylands Game 32
Daggerheart
Casual
2026-10-01
18:00:00

The Drylands were a place that put the old stories aside... until a colossus rose from the earth itself, answering the call of something ancient and apocalyptic and devastating the town of Wyllin’s Gulch. At the cost of many lives, the colossus was slain... but years later, when a shaky peace had finally settled over the Drylands, the earth quakes once more. Old prospectors whisper older legends, of superstition and of the return of Kudamat, the First Doom. When the first colossi rose, you were too young, or perhaps too injured or ill to contribute to the conflict; now, you are ready to join your comrades on their next hunt.

As the New Gods watch from the Hallows Above, will you stand for the helpless? Or will you watch as the world you know crumbles beneath the rise of the colossi?

This Daggerheart game is custom within the frame. If you join the campaign late, please reach out to GM Kit so they can get you situated within the world and offer opportunities to construct your own piece of the world.

Tone & Feel: Awe-Inspiring, Dusty, Eerie, Gritty, Larger than Life.

Themes: Breaking Cycles, the Burden of Heroism, Faith VS Doubt, Greed, Ordinary People Accomplishing the Extraordinary.

PLAYERS MUST:

Create a Level 7 Daggerheart character. Players who have difficulty with character creation can reach out to the DM to schedule a one-on-one session before the campaign starts.

Leave open the Background Questions and Connections; these will be filled out during our first session.

PLAYERS MAY:

Review the Colossus of the Drylands frame in the back of the Core Book. Note that this is a western setting, and guns and mounts are recommended. The stats for these are in the campaign frame. This information will be discussed during the first game.

PLAYERS CANNOT:

Use homebrew or Void content without prior consent from the GM.

Meet the GM: Hey! Kit here. While I’ve been running D&D out of Red Claw for the past few years, I’ve been itching to bring alternative games to the table. I started my journey into TTRPGs with Deadlands, and I’m very excited to continue playing in the Daggerheart system. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming table for players of all experience levels to play together. I can be contacted at kitiararhem@gmail.com
