REGISTRATION
The event will cost $35 per person. This fee will cover the day of gaming and prizes.
To register you can either:

Please include your Full Name, Best Coast Pairings email and the faction you will be playing. If you do not have a Best Coast Pairings account, you will need to get one. You can do this here

LIST BUILDING
Armies will be built to a limit of 2000 points.
Players must build a battle forged army, following the rules set in the rulebook for matched play restrictions.
Legends will not be allowed for army construction.
This event will be using list building guidelines from the Leviathan mission pack.
The rules cut-off date for this event will be June 29th, 2024. No rules released after this date will be in effect at this event.
Conversions and custom models are acceptable for this event. Proxied models are not. If in doubt, please contact us before the event.

GUIDELINES & TERRAIN FORMAT
-This event will be using the guidelines and changes set by the leviathan tournament companion, such as the changes to moving onto objectives and scoring conditions on certain cards.
-This event will be using GW terrain format and its guidelines as presented in the Leviathan Tournament companion.
-This event uses pre-placed terrain. Terrain should only be moved to fit objectives, and only as little as needed to make objective placement legal.
-First floor windows and doors are LOS Blocking.

PRIZING
Prizes will be awarded after round 3 has finished as follows:
Best General: The Player with the most wins/highest tournament points
This player will have their name engraved on a plaque and displayed in the store. They will also receive a plaque to take home.
Best Presentation: The player that scores the highest on the ITC Painting rubric.
Any players that wish to have their army painting judged should leave them set up on a table during lunch.
Favorite Opponent: The Player with the most favorite opponent votes.
After the 3rd round, players will nominate one of their opponents as their favorite opponent of the event.

The event will cost $70 per team. This fee will cover both teammates for the day of gaming and prizes.

• Each team must select a single character model to be their warlord for their team.
• Your team-mates models/detachments do not count as part of your army.

-A ticket must be purchased through Red Claw to enter the contest.
-3 of the categories will be judged by the staff and 1 category will be voted on by the public. Contest ends February 29th at 9 pm and the theme is “Winter" (the theme is optional)
-Models will be displayed in store for 1 week after the February 29th deadline for judging by the staff for the Red’s Choice, Most Thematic and Young Gun awards and to allow voting by customers for Fan Favourite.
-Comments and feedback will be available for the participants on their entry if requested.
-Both the Red’s Choice and Young Gun will be judged and scored using the Red's Choice painting rubric (found here).
-The Most Thematic will be chosen by our judge and the Red Claw staff, based on the model they feel best captures the theme "Winter".
-Fan Favourite will be voted on by customers in store, with the model receiving the most votes winning that category.
Rules
-Any model can be used from any game system or model line. 3D printed models are also allowed.
-Models cannot be on a base larger than 120x92 mm oval base or a 100 mm round base. Any smaller base sizes are acceptable.
-Models must be finished and delivered to Red Claw Gaming before the deadline of February 29th at 9 pm to qualify for prizing.
-If Red Claw does not feel like we can safely display your model without endangering the other models in the display case then your entry will be disqualified from the contest.
-Remember that Red Claw is a family friendly store. This means no offensive imagery, language or behaviour. Offending models will not be displayed and forfeit their chance at the prize

The prizing will be created using the $12 entry fee paid by each participant. Prizing is as follows;
1- Red's Choice (judged by staff) – $2 from every ticket will go towards the prizing for the best painted model in the contest. Plus a Red's Choice trophy.
2- Fan Favourite (voted on by customers) –$2 from every ticket will go towards the prizing for the model to receive the most fan votes. Plus a Red's Choice trophy.
3- Young Guns (judged by staff for entries 18 years and younger) –$2 from every ticket will go towards the prizing for the best painted model for contestants aged 18 and under. Plus a Red's Choice Trophy
4- Most Thematic (judged by staff) –$4 from every ticket will go towards the prizing for the model that best exemplifies "Winter". Plus a Red's Choice trophy.

Red's Choice painting contest: CFL Kick-off!
All participants will use the models they purchase with their ticket. Models must be purchased at Red Claw and its price will be included in the entry fee $20. The contest will be judged by the staff with 5 winners.
Models will be displayed in store for 1 week after the contest deadline for judging by the staff for the ‘Red’s Choice’, ‘Young Gun’ and 'Most Thematic' awards and by customers for the ‘Fan Favourite’ award.
Contest ends on June 2nd.
Comments and feedback will be available for the participants on their entry if requested.
Fan Favourite will be voted on by customers in store and online, with the model receiving the most votes winning that category.
Both the Red’s Choice and Young Gun will be judged and scored using the painting rubric below for a possible total of 200 points to determine the winners. You can view the rubric here
Most Thematic will be judged and voted upon by the Red Claw staff, with 2 awards: One award for the Most Thematic model from each team.
Rules
-All participants will use the models and base size received with their ticket.
-If you choose an entry that has 2 models included then you are asked to paint both for your entry.

-Kit bashes and conversions are allowed. The original model received must make up roughly 50% of the final piece. Must stay on the base size provided.
